Some New Kind Of Green

about

To anyone that has lived through a northern winter: Your struggle has not been in vain. Enjoy our latest single, whether you're soaking up the sun somewhere south of the Mason Dixon Line, or you're waiting for the spring to arrive up north.

lyrics

Is it too much to ask to see a little rain
Instead of all the ice that's fallen time and time again
I've tried dancing for some drops, but to no avail
Though I once turned a snowstorm to an angry front of hail

I'm sick of walking out in to the April snow
The temperature is freezing with nowhere but up to go

When I came from North Dakota must have told you 'bout the snow we get year round
From December 'til May we never even see the ground
Through all the winter days and shades of gray we've seen
Waiting for the spring to arrive with some new kind of green

Still haven't seen the sun, my feet are getting cold
My legs are getting tired, and this dance is getting old
I hear there's warmer weather if you travel further south
The roads are slick from ice so I don't think I'd make it anyhow but

I'm sick of walking out in to the April snow
The temperature is freezing with nowhere but up to go

When I came from North Dakota must have told you 'bout the snow we get year round
From December 'til May we never even see the ground
Through all the winter days and shades of gray we've seen
Waiting for the spring to arrive with some new kind of green

I'm sick of walking out in to the April snow
The temperature is freezing with nowhere but up to go

Don't wait for the storm to pass, go dancing in the rain
The phrase is cute, the point is moot, it really isn't quite the same
When you're waltzing through a rainstorm, at seventeen below
With icicles beneath your nose and frostbite on your ears and toes but

I'm sick of walking out in to the April snow
The temperature is freezing with nowhere but up to go

When I came from North Dakota must have told you 'bout the snow we get year round
From December 'til May we never even see the ground
Through all the winter days and shades of gray we've seen
Waiting for the spring to arrive with some new kind of green
